Danpaati River Lodge is located on the bank of the Upper Suriname river on an island of 1200 feet. Jungle excursions, visits to the Saramaccan village Dan, spotting caimans at night and going on the river enjoying the stars, relaxing in a hammock or having fun in a rapid, swimming in the river or the pool and many more activities can be done at Danpaati. Enjoy nature, learn about Saramaccan culture and relax at this unique place in the Upper Suriname region.

Danpaati River Lodge works together with the nearby Saramaccan village Dan. It supports social projects and the staff at the Lodge all come from the village. Your guide will also be a local Saramaccan guide, who knows his way on the river, in the village and in the jungle.

This tour can be done in three or four days. The nights will be spent in simple, comfortable and clean wooden lodges, with own both and toilet facilities.
